At 12:01 a.m. I will be outside dancing in the street! April 29, 2014 marks my 8th Anniversary of being cancer free. Every year, on this day, in the wee hours of the morning, I do a little happy dance! I am sure over the years a neighbor or two has seen me but nobody has ever said a word ... maybe they chalk it up to senility! It is my gift to myself - dancing with gratitude. Thanking God for allowing me one more year to do what I love, to be around the people I love, and in some small way, to try to make a difference in this world. I feel so blessed. xxxx

New Little Booh Bear on eBay!
Hello! It's not very often that I give my bears a "face-lift" and change their names but in the case of "Bue" that is just what I did! She has a few subtle changes to her face, some new shoes and a new name - now "Sonya" and she is currently available on ebay with a Buy It Now option. If you have a moment to peek in on her eBay auction, this is the link ...Sonya's eBay auction

A Trip Down Memory Lane, Booh Bear Style!
Today I was going through an old file cabinet and came across several CD's with photos of bears past. I had forgotten about those CD's from 2004 - 2008. It was so much fun going through the old photos and brought back so many fun memories of creative days past! I made a short slideshow of some of the bears from 2004 - 2005 and posted it to my facebook page. Tonight, I went through 2006 - 2008 and decided to create another slideshow to post on you tube and share it here on my blog (if you click the box on the lower right corner of the slideshow, it will switch to full screen). I hope you enjoy taking a peek in to my creative past as much as I enjoyed looking back! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Here's to the days ahead and lovely creative memories that are yet to be made. Hugs & Blessings, Janice

Distressed Wee Booh Bear ... Lamb? Ballerina!
I have had so much fun being able to work on bears a bit more these past few weeks and when I am working, occasionally I get an urge to deviate from my "norm". Tootsie is certainly one of those instances where I deviated from my norm. I love antiques and I love distressed artist bears but I don't make them very often. I had this beautiful antique tulle net lace that I picked up at a local doll show a few weeks ago and it just screamed "tutu"! Being that the tulle lace has definitely seen better days, I thought it would make a cute scruffy tutu for a little distressed bear. I started with Anna Tsymbal's tummy pattern because it is so cute and fat and looks like a chubby ballerina tummy ;o) I then designed all the other parts around the tummy. When Tootsie was finished, I thought she looked like a little lamb, so I made her a tail! Not sure if she's a bear or a lamb but here she is! I hope you like her as much as I liked making her! Have a beautiful weekend! Hugs & Blessings, Janice
