New Little Booh Puppy!

I had so much fun making this latest little Booh puppy!  Jenny is made of vintage Schulte German kid mohair - the kind you used to be able to find that was so dense, soft and wavy with a nice backing (not stiff).   It's so fun to work with vintage mohair -  sure wish I had more in my "stash"!   I am thrilled to report that Jenny found a home as soon as she was posted to my website today!   Her little cushion is made of Merino wool felt with antique lace, some buttons from my Mother's sewing box, and several little silk and rayon flowers that I made for embellishments.   I hope you like her as much as I do!  Have a wonderful Friday.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day has been bittersweet since losing my Mom in 2009.  It has been difficult to go in to stores and to see all the beautiful floral displays and to try and help my husband pick out a card for his Mom.  I miss my Mom so much but on the other hand, I feel so blessed to be a Mom.   My life changed forever the day my daughter was born 25 years ago.   I have laughed, cried, worried and rejoiced right along with her as she makes her way through this life.  I am grateful that God allowed me to be a Mother and I can only hope that my Daughter feels the same way about me that I felt about my Mother - I would consider that the greatest Mother's Day gift I could receive!    Happy Mother's Day!   Hugs & Blessings, Janice

A Booh Bear with wispy frenzied hair now on eBay!

My latest little bear was a real labor of love!  Her very long mohair (1.25") on her 10" frame was a treat to work with and after throwing away her first two heads and redesigning the pattern,  I love how she finally turned out!   Before I used product on her hair to tame it down a bit, my husband said she looks like she came from Chicago ... the windy city!  What a delight she was with that long hair heading in every direction!  All I could do was laugh!   Her pictures appear a bit more creamy colored than she really is - she is white - the color of Ivory Soap - hence her name, Ivory!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mother's Day!   Hugs & Blessings,  Janice
