I finally finished the Sedona Red Rock Dyed Booh!

This little one has been a few weeks in the making!   Sedona was made by dyeing her mohair with boiled Sedona, Arizona red rocks.  I needle felted and then rooted strand by strand (Joanne Livingston style!!) her muzzle with white mohair.   I hope you like her!  xoxo

  2. Oh she's gorgeous, love that colour. I also love that you have the patience to root the mohair, you are a far better woman than I!

  3. She turned out beautifully, Janice! I would never have known you needle felted her muzzle, either. How fun to have dyed her fur with Sedona red rocks!

  4. Thank you Katy and Debora. Oh gosh, Katy, I don't know what possessed me to do the full muzzle, I've done parts before but not the full thing - it will be ages or never before I attempt it again! It was fun to dye her fur with the red rocks, Debora. Now I need to get back up there to return them to their rightful place!

  5. Oh Janice I love her. And her color is so beautiful. Are these the rocks you picked up last summer when we took the road trip to visit Tammy?

Love your felted muzzle, it does get easier and faster rooting all the mohair in.

  8. Thank you so much, ladies! You are so sweet to comment on her! Joanne, I wanted a bit of a contrast to the dyed portion but had NO idea how much work was involved with rooting a full muzzle! I've done partial rooting on a couple bears and a cat in the past but my goodness, I had no idea the hours and hours involved in a full muzzle! I figured it was only a few inches more than I've done in the past but I figured wrong! The rocks were the ones we picked up when we went to meet Tammy!
