Today, someone tried to break in to our home while we were here. It made me feel frightened and violated even though they didn't succeed. I wish Mom was here, she always knew what to say to make me feel better in every situation! I am grateful God was watching over us. I think Mom would say to find a bear for hugs, be thankful it ended the way it did and hope for an even better day tomorrow...
Oh, Janice, how scary! I'm so glad that everything turned out well. Your Mom's advice is good--today will be an even better day.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Cheryl
Thank you, Cheryl. I still keep reliving the situation, feeling like a prisoner in my own home. I do have a bear readily handy for hugs and am hoping for a brighter day today! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, that's scary! But I'm sure that's what your mom would have said. And I, too, am thankful that God was watching over you. Big hugs to you, and many blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debora! Today is a better day!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh Janice, this is horrible. Were all three of you home? I hope it just wasn't you and your daughter alone.
ReplyDeleteMike was at work - they had a girl about 19 or 20 ring the doorbell and bang on the door checking to see if anyone was home - I looked through the peep hole and didn't recognize her so I didn't open the door. Within a matter of minutes, Jessica heard them open the side gate to the backyard, I went in to the kitchen to see them trying to get in through the window. I yelled at them and they took off, jumping the wall - 3 boys about 17 - 19 years old. The girl was in a white mustang at the side of the house ready to drive them off. What is really scary is there was a 40 year old man knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell about 2 weeks ago and when I didn't recognize him, I didn't answer. I found out that this is what they do. They check around the same time of day several times, if nobody answers at that time of day, they think they have an easy target. We are getting a dog as soon as possible! xoxo
ReplyDelete(((((HUGS))))) Still think you should go with the goat too ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh Katy, maybe we'll get a guard goat, too! xoxo
