Playing with felt now!

I spent the day making this little felt Valentine - my first attempt at embroidery going beyond a blanket stitch and a bear nose!   I had so much fun making it but what do I do with it now?!!   I plan to start working on a Fairy Bear this weekend, maybe I'll give it to her and she'll be a Valentine Fairy ... yes, I think that's what I'll do!  That's my favorite kind of  "play" ... making something I can use with my bears!  xoxo

  1. It certainly looks like a fantastic fairy cushion.Love already embroidered on it.

  2. Oh it's beautiful, looking forward to seeing your fairy bear :o)

  3. I love this! And it will look so pretty paired with a bear.

Felt and embroidery are my favorite things to play with.

There is a seller on etsy I buy from, she has a wool blend felt in every color under the rainbow. She sells them in packs of colors that all go together. It is really nice stuff.

Just in case you now need to stock up. Here is her address:

  4. Its darling, been years since I did any embroidery.

  5. Thank you so much Kay, Katy and Joanne! Joanne, thank you for the link to the felt! I stocked up from etsy at the end of November but next time I will use your supplier! Sue McFadden also sells the most beautiful felt for doll faces, bodies (she's an amazing felt doll artist)
    Thanks again! Hugs, Janice

  6. Thank you so much, Lynn! I found it was really relaxing but it took me most of the day to make - I'm slow because I'm new (I think)! Great fun, though ;O) Hugs, Janice

  7. Hi Janice, your little heart is sooo sweet :)
