Pitching the Puppy!

Last week I cut out 3 puppies - miniatures from one of my first patterns - I made several of them in 1999 and every few years I pull the pattern out and make a few more.   You can imagine my disappointment when I worked on this little one for so many hours and she just refused to conform to my idea and her idea was not even an option - she was hideous!  I just now pitched her in the trash.   It's not something I do very often and when I do, I feel a sense of disappointment.  I added some needle felted tufts and thought it was going to work out, but this was a stubborn puppy!  I decided to come to the computer and play on pinterest for a bit!  That helped!  So many lovely things to see, makes it easy to take my mind off of my blunder!  Tomorrow will be a better day!  I still have the other two sewn and hopefully when I stuff them and make their little faces, they will turn out!   xoxo,  Janice

  2. It must have been a bad day all round. I made a lovely little polar bear. I was so proud of it, then instead of using the air brush for shading I used the copic pen on leather. It is a BIG NO NO.
So I have cut out two new legs and need to sculpt the feet all over again. At least I won't do it again.

    1. Well, the next two were pitched, as well! I plan to tweak the pattern before giving it another go! I think I'll do a bear and a bunny now because I know they will turn out the way I want and if they turn out the way they want, at least I know I will approve! xoxo

  4. We all seem to have days like that sometimes when the trash can ends up with more than the finished pieces.
Look forward to seeing the bear and bunny.
Pinterest is so addicting. I could spend hours over their if I'm not careful. LOL

    1. Yes, I think it was one of those days where the trash can did end up with much more than I intended! I finished the bunny, though, and she turned out just the way I wanted! LOL! Hugs, Janice
